Zurn Wilkins RPZ Backflow Preventers

Zurn Wilkins reduced pressure principle assemblies, commonly called RP or RPZ backflow preventers, are designed to protect potable water supplies against backflow caused by both backsiphonage and backpressure in applications where reduced pressure protection is required.

For 1-inch applications, view the Zurn Wilkins 1-975XL 1" RPZ backflow preventer, a compact bronze reduced pressure principle assembly with 1" female NPT connections, full-port ball valves and convenient in-line service access.

Zurn Wilkins 975XL Backflow Preventers

The Zurn Wilkins 975XL Series includes compact bronze reduced pressure principle assemblies designed for serviceability and cross-connection protection. The series is available in multiple sizes for irrigation, commercial plumbing, mechanical equipment and other applications requiring an RPZ assembly.

When selecting a 975XL assembly, verify the nominal connection size, connection type, working pressure, temperature requirements and applicable approvals. Individual product pages provide model-specific specifications, dimensions and installation information.

Zurn Wilkins Double Check Valve Assemblies

Zurn Wilkins also manufactures double check valve assemblies for applications where DCVA protection is permitted by the applicable plumbing code and authority having jurisdiction. Double check assemblies use two independently acting check valves to protect against backflow caused by backsiphonage and backpressure.

Choosing a Zurn Wilkins Backflow Preventer

Select a backflow prevention assembly according to the required level of protection, connection size, flow requirements, working pressure, temperature, installation orientation and applicable approvals. Always verify the manufacturer's published specifications and the requirements of the local authority having jurisdiction before selecting or installing a backflow prevention assembly.
